The best benefit of AMBOSS is being able to link my account to my ANKI cards. I can chose random days, specific topics, or concept I recently covered on my flashcards and create a question set from it. This was an incredible way to monitor my true understanding of concepts I had recently reviewed. Utilizing the diagrams to help common signs and symptoms stick has been incredibly helpful. Quickly researching pathologies and diagnoses while rounding on clinical rotations help me create a treatment plan with alternatives and impress the residents and attendings.

AMBOSS has been my most used resource since the beginning of medical school. It helps organize concepts, provide definitions, and clear pathophysiogy which I use for PEARLS research and to supplement lecture material. Also, the diagrams are extremely helpful and make things so much easier to understand. I use the AMBOSS add-on to anki which helps me use my anki cards in a more productive way. The amboss practice test questions are also very helpful in seeing if I understand concepts learned in class!

I found the anki add on very useful in filling knowledge gaps and quickly referencing material. on rotations it is great because you can really provide specifics for your plan, if you have an idea of what to do it can add a layer of depth. also it is way easier to use than UpToDate (ie the search feature isn’t broken) and the provider mode provides drug dosing etc with reference links. love the articles to quickly find useful info, broken down into relevant sections. it can provide a quick answer or if you want it can kickstart a whole literature review

AMBOSS was an invaluable resource to me, throughout the first 3 years of med school. Whenever I had difficulty learning about new pathologies, I would often go read more on AMBOSS to get a succinct overview of the condition and how it is managed. Throughout M1-M2, I would also use their Qbank to help me get a feel for how concepts might be tested on an exam. I had a relatively stress free dedicated study period and easily passed both LEVEL/STEP 1 because I was regularly using AMBOSS. I used AMBOSS daily while on M3 rotations to prepare my patient presentations on the wards, for final presentations at the end of rotations, and to study for our COMAT exams. I achieved honors in nearly all my rotations with the help of AMBOSS. I cannot overstate how useful this resource is. As an AMBOSSador for AMBOSS for 3 years, I have coordinated about 4 different events to help NSU students get a discount to purchase an AMBOSS subscription. Each time I would get 60+ signups from students interested in purchasing this resource with their own money. I wouldn't put my neck out and suggest to my colleagues that they spend significant sums of money on a 3rd party resource if I didn't think it was worth it. AMBOSS is one of the best 3rd party resources available to medical students.

The AMBOSS question bank has been invaluable to me to learn concepts not covered in other materials that have appeared on my shelf exams; with AMBOSS, I've scored >95th percentile on all of my shelf exams. I use the AMBOSS library every day to study and find it especially useful to have all information on a specific topic (e.g. cervical cancer screening and abnormal Pap workup) in one reliable place. I also use the AMBOSS app on my phone to quickly look up things I should be asking about to patients or prepared to answer on rounds in my clinical rotations.

I am forever grateful for AMBOSS, because their anki add-on, Qbanks, thorough and easy to follow diagrams, and articles made my life in med school easy. Their questions forced me to clinically think and problem solve in certain methods that helped me consistently be the top scorer on every in-house exam since OMS-1, hence why I always referred my friends and tutees to AMBOSS.

Amboss served as my primary Q bank for M1 and M2. It’s an excellent supplement to uworld for step/M3. The clinical companion is a quick resource to consult during clinicals. Overall the most universally helpful resource across all of med school.

AMBOSS is the ultimate combination of an excellent point of care resource and question bank. Regarding its function as a point of care resource, I love how the references to guidelines and various other publications are linked below in the references for each article, helping me directly cite the primary material to further buttress my differentials and assessments/plans. As a question bank, although I use UWorld as well, what I love about AMBOSS is the linked articles for topics once you answer the question, which allows me to fully refamiliarize myself with a topic or learn a new topic altogether fairly quickly. This is unlike UWorld, which tends to give you information in bite-sized pieces. Overall, AMBOSS has been invaluable in my medical school success thus far, and whenever I tutor anyone I always recommend it as a resource to invest in.

Amboss is the complete package. The qbank lets you practice and then gives suggestions on how to improve. You can look up topics directly from questions and integrate concepts into anki flashcards. The clinical guidelines have been a life-saver for clinical rotations so far. They’ve gotten me through some “pimp- heavy” attendings. Great resource for all of medical school.

I was a hardcore user of school material ONLY for years 1-1.5 of medical school. My final exam scores were consistently 3 standard deviations (occasionally upper end of 2) away from the mean-- safe to say, school material was working. But it took hours and hours to create my own methods of quizzing myself on our school material because.... we dont have access to multiple choice board questions. The few that we did were too few, had poor explanations, poorly made, or were irrelevant to the exam (SMA questions during our musculoskeletal block...)Then in second year the school upped the number of board questions on our final exams and i noticed a dip in my trend. How can I be spending so much time on this and fall short? I didn't have access to practice how I was assessed, I was showing my coach how I swam and then correcting my stroke on my own. I bought amboss... Now I have board questions, with EXCELLENT explanations, organized by VERY specific subject categories. Am I specifically struggling with differentiating pregnancy pathology? Now I have 15 MCQ's on vasa previa vs placenta issues vs coaguloapthy etc. My heme final is tomorrow, how am I going to practice differentiating leukemias? -- Now i can do 250 MCQ's the weekend before the exam. Also, our school relies heavily on the group-work/case-based format. Is it any coincidence I was able to learn more in these classes by having a rapid electronic reference like amboss? No its not, no way was I going to go back to flipping through 300 page study guides to answer those questions. Buy amboss, it is a crucial $700 add on to your $360,000 education

Amboss is a great look up resource I often use when on rotations for dx and drug information. It provides clear important information that helps guide my clinical decision making. The rotation-specific study guides also help to give me an outline of important topics I should know by the end of the rotation. I also love how there are questions at the end of each section of articles to test understanding of those specific topics. This is a feature missing in UWorld that I always got to Amboss for. The articles are great sources of information that are organized in a helpful way. The pictures and illustrations go a long way in helping me remember conditions!

The AMBOSS platform really shines in seamlessly integrating diverse medical disciplines. Unlike other platforms, AMBOSS combines physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and clinical skills into a unified resource. This makes learning so much more streamlined, and I’m able to better integrate information for understanding and long term memory consolidation.

AMBOSS' articles are my go to for clinical knowledge and to read up on concepts I previously studied. The articles are concise and give you everything you need to know. In the clinical setting, AMBOSS streamlines my patient care and allows me to give great assessments and plans to my attendings. Further, the AMBOSS questions are really amazing supplementation. They offer a wide variety of questions that cover topics thoroughly. They are extensive and good ways to study.

AMBOSS allows me to integrate basic science and clinical knowledge effectively. Being able to switch from high-yield tabs to clinician tabs proved invaluable in a wide range of my medical education. Not only did I use the AMBOSS QBank to prepare for exams, but I also used the AMBOSS app as a quick reference guide on my clinical rotations.

Amboss has been a great resource and improved both my test scores and clinical performance. I didn’t start using amboss until my third year and wish I would have started from day 1. On clerkships, it was such a useful tool for management because, as a third year, you want brief but accurate info focused on big picture management, but then can look further regarding specifics if necessary. It was the only resource I used during my dedicated step 2 study period, and I performed well above what I expected. I love the imaging overlays and the ability to use “high yield mode”, allowing for more efficient and effective studying. I also love that you can read an article about any topic then do a question block of associated questions to consolidate the learning. I now use amboss daily on wards as a 4th year. Such a great resource!

During my U3e and first 2 years of medical school, AMBOSS has been instrumental in my success. Not only do they provide excellently written and challenging practice problems, they also guide you through the thinking behind each and challenge you to improve your clinical reasoning skills. They also have amazing content articles that I often find myself using on demand when I need quick access to important information. I cannot imagine making it this far without having AMBOSS and fully anticipate leveraging it when I am in the hospital.

I really enjoyed the question bank, because it helped me actively learn the material for each block and prepare for formative and summative exams. I also utilized the Amboss library to answer questions my peers and I have during our Bscis and in connecting our preclinical curriculum to seeing patients in Explore or BCS. I also linked it to my anki cards to have definitions to every word I needed. I think it definitely helped prepare me for reading long stem questions, and translating learning to identifying clinical vignettes

This is the only resource that provides a knowledge bank. I open up the Amboss app to look up information before I open anything else. It provides all the pertinent information I need without making me scroll for years. Regarding questions, I loveeee the fact you can click a button and get some help. Sometimes you just need a little push in the right direction and this is beyond helpful for guiding us towards the pertinent information we need in each question. I've used Amboss every week since I purchased and will not stop.

During pre-clinicals I primarily used AMBOSS to study for cases including making study guides based off of learning objectives from our cases. THe outline of AMBOSS is incredibly helpful for PBL style learning as well as objectives. THe resources are from primary literature are stay up to date. Additionally, I would use AMBOSS practice questions closer to KBE for practice. Now in clinicals, I use if for a quick review as well as practice questions for review. I strongly believe MU should provide AMBOSS for ALL students to promote our learning goals and decrease the cost put onto students. I would say 90% of my class currently pays for AMBOSS subscriptions on their own.

I started using amboss during my second year as a way to initiate my board studying for step1 and i quickly realized how powerful a tool it was to study anything and everything that was relevant for in-class and board prep material. Whenever I needed an answer quickly, amboss was my go-to source and i could find the answer within seconds. I dont think ppl realize how important time management is in medical school. having a reseource that allows me to look things up within seconds, have it be accurate/vetted information, and not have to drone around the internet to find varying answers is PRICELESS. i am not the highest performing student, but i really value efficiency when it comes to studying. I also want to perform to the best of my ability. I can say without a doubt that if it wasnt for amboss, I would have wasted countless hours on other resources when i was doing the content reveiw stage of my board prep. Thats right, I SOLELY used amboss for board prep. No sketchy, no USMLE book, No boards and beyond, or pathoma... okay maybe a little bit of BB and pathoma at the end of prep, but still, It was amboss 95% of the time. i started doing amboss questions slowly in jan 2024 and was able to complete most of it by april. I wasnt going for percentage, I was strictly learning from all my mistakes and thoroughly reading every answer in great detail. Without amboss, clincials would be a lot harder too. When going on rounds I can quickly refer to amboss library to find direct answers to questions so that I can be prepared when rounding begins. Overall, amboss has been an invauable resource and the best money ive spent on a resource hands down.

AMBOSS was honestly a life-saver during third year clinical rotations. Any and all patient encounters I found myself digging into the platform looking for information- what other disease processes should be on my differential? What signs/symptoms should I be looking for given what I think it may be? And how do I treat this patient??? The information is quick, precise, and perfect for the rotating student. Furthermore, I love how integrated the platform is and how I can very quickly jump from topic to topic as I need to paint or re-paint the bigger picture as a whole.
